Käytiin eilen ruokaostoksilla Safewayssa ja iltapäivän keli oli todella epävakainen. Välillä paistoi aurinko ja hetken päästä tuli vettä taivaan täydeltä. Suuntasin kauppaan etukäteen ja Jari poimi mut mukaansa kotimatkalla. Tällä kertaa ehdin tehdä ostokset, joten hänen ei tarvinnut tulla kauppaan sisälle. Kauppaan mennessä otin kärryt sisältä ja viskasin sateenvarjon kärryihin. Huomasin, että kärryt eivät liikkuneet hyvin (uusissa kärryissä on lukko yhdessä pyörässä, joka aktivoituu kun kärryt vie pois kaupan parkkipaikalta estäen kodittomia yms. viemästä kärryjä) ja vaihdoin toisiin. Huomasin sitten vihannesosastolla, että sateenvarjo jäi toisiin kärryihin. Ei sitten ollut enää niitä kärryjä paikalla kun menin tsekkaamaan ja kysyin pariin otteeseen infosta onko joku palauttanut sateenvarjoa. Harmittaa, kun tuo oli kallis ja ilmeisen kestävä varjo...
Kotimatkalla käytiin Tim Hortonsissa syömässä ja kun oltiin poistumassa sieltä, Jari ei löytänyt auton avaimia. Hän oli unohtanut ne tiskille kun maksoi ostoksia, onneksi olivat tallessa.
Timpassa läheisessä pöydässä kaksi miestä puhuivat suomea, viime aikoina oon kuullut suomea puhuttavan hieman liikaa täällä. Kun olin lentokentällä Jaria vastassa, vieressä poitsu vastasi kännykkäänsä suomeksi ja ulkona kun suunnattiin taksijonoon oli pari suomalaista. Mä toteutan normaalia taktiikkaani kun kuulen suomea eli olen hiljaa. :-)
English summary:
Yesterday wasn't Friday the 13th but it might as well have been. We went grocery shopping and tossed my umbrella in the cart but it wasn't moving well (it had one of those wheel locks that activate when the cart is moved outside the store). So I took another cart and it took me a while to notice that I left my umbrella behind and of course it was nowhere to be found. I'm angry at myself, it wasn't a cheap umbrella and it surely worked well in all sorts of weather. Afterwards we had dinner at Tim Hortons and as we were leaving Jari couldn't find his car keys anywhere. He had left them at the counter when he paid, fortunately they were still there.
There were two guys at a table close to us at Timmie's having a conversation in Finnish. I've heard Finnish a bit too often lately. At the airport a dude next to me answered his cell in Finnish and we saw two other guys who were speaking Finnish too. I haven't changed my tactics in a situation like that: I just listen and don't say anything. :-)
